Hypnosis is very effective for people who are seriously committed to reaching their goal.
A survey of psychotherapy literature by Alfred A. Barrios, PhD. reveals that hypnotherapy produces an average 93% recovery rate after 6 sessions. The National Institute of Health (NIH) has documented over 11,000 recent credible research studies supporting hypnosis for medical and psychological healing. Hypnosis was approved by the American Medical Association in 1958.
Hypnotic trance is a natural part of daily life. Daydreaming, becoming engrossed in a film or novel, or driving a familiar route on mental autopilot are all examples of the hypnotic state.
It is a choice to enter and remain in the hypnotic state. It is a state of deep mental and physical relaxation combined with alert, focused attention.
Hypnosis is used to relax the analytical mind and to open and engage the subconscious mind. Reinforcement of positive beliefs and reversal of negative beliefs in the subconscious mind are the keys to making desirable and permanent changes.
Chris is a Certified Medical Support Hypnotherapist through the International Board of Hypnotherapy (IBH). He received his hypnotherapy training at the Hypnotherapy Academy of America in Albuquerque, NM. This 500-hour hypnosis-training program is the most comprehensive in the world.
Chris’s life significantly improved when he discovered hypnotherapy. After a lifelong struggle with irritable bowel syndrome, he recovered fully with hypnotherapy sessions and self-hypnosis work. His own transformation inspired him to become a hypnotherapist and teach people how to use hypnosis to empower themselves and become healthier and happier.
Before becoming a hypnotherapist, Chris was a music teacher. He studied music performance and education at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. He had the good fortune to live in Japan for two years where he taught music at a private school. In Japan, Chris participated in many Vipassana (insight) meditation courses, which inspired his study of the mind.
